Why we love alpaca duvets

Last winter I had double pneumonia and THEN a nasty stomach virus that kicked me pretty hard. For part of that week and a half all I wanted to do was slide under my alpaca duvet. When I was feeling cruddy, there was no place more comfortable and where I could beat the chills than under my alpaca duvet.

Now think about having that experience full body, on your bed every night. That’s why we love our alpaca duvet. They're keep you as warm as you need and they breathe really well. Some people keep them on all year. 

Our duvets are limited editions. We work with a small processor who smooths our alpaca fibres into batts - a big sheet of softness and fluffiness. We send those batts to Salem Alpacas where Kathleen makes a limited number of alpaca duvets each year. 

They are stitched in five-inch squares in a high quality cotton cover. It takes us a long time to get them, and because of all of that hand-made work, they are expensive. We believe they are an investment in your nightly comfort that will last for many years.
